The animals that abound the square are all characters and as colourful and friendly as their owners.  Here they wait patiently while coffees, beers, wines or prosecco are consumed.

The magic hour and the light brings out the rich colours of the walls.

In Capena, the magic hour is quite late, as the sun is still work it's way down to sunset at 7pm in August.

Streets of old Capena. To the right of this street the mountain falls away, as this old city was built, like many, on the edge of the cliff.  The homes (apartments) here have caves stretching under the mountain.

Old Capena is a maze of alleys and hidden corners.  Here a water fountain provides respite on a warm day.

Hotel recliners tidied away for the night, waiting for the day to begin.  The day is so beautiful at sunrise, which is now over and behind me, as I take this shot.  But there is no-one about.  The best of the day, lost to sleep.

Umbrellas, recliners are all out during the day for all the people using the beach. Each hotel or resort providing their own colors and style.  At the end of the day after everyone as gone home, the beach is tidied up to a restful order - waiting for the next day.
