 While in New Orleans, I was able to spend a couple of hours out of town on the water watching alligators and learning about the fascinating swamps and fishing villages. Snippets about that to come. The most astonishing and exciting thing for me was seeing this Great Blue Heron, who looked to be about 4' tall. A magnificent creature. | |
